Take a trip down 80s lane with the legendary multi-Grammy award-winning rock band, Toto! The band behind the iconic songs, “Africa”, “Hold The Line”, and “Rosanna” are coming to Malaysia this 1st May 2025 (Thursday)!
If you’re not familiar with this acclaimed band, the group was formed in 1977 and originally consisted of David Paich, Jeff Porcaro, David Hungate, Steve Lukather and Bobby Kimball. The band has seen a significant change in the lineup over the years, but nothing has changed its iconic sound all 80s kids grew up with.
The band is bringing their “Dogs of Oz World Tour” to Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting. Concert organiser Unusual Entertainment have announced ticket prices and seating plans. Exclusive early access for Genting Rewards Members (Gold Card and above) goes on sale on 19th March 2025 (Wednesday), while general sale starts 21st March 2025 (Friday). Joining original members Steve Lukather and Joseph Williams on the tour are Greg Phillinganes, Shannon Forrest, John Pierce, Warren Ham and Dennis Atlas.
Standing as one of the world’s most acclaimed bands, Toto has racked up 6 Grammy Awards including, record of the year, album of the year and producer of the year in its many lists of achievements. Additionally, their song “Africa”, which surpassed 10.5 million cumulative sales, was certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America. Currently, the band is still widely streamed amassing up to 24.9 monthly listeners with its hit songs, “Africa” and “Hold The Line”, amounting up to 3 billion streams to date. This reunion concert after their major breakup in 2019 is going to be one for the history books, so here are all the details:
