Fans may know that Hong Kong star Aaron Kwok (郭富城) is a fan of supercars and racing. Recently, the multitalented star got to put his racing skills to the test, and the results were victorious.
Over the weekend, Aaron participated in his first Lotus Cup China One-Make Race in Chengdu. The competition is the third round of the Lotus Cup China One-Make series, and it took place at the Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit. The event received attention after news outlets reported that Aaron Kwok would be competing as a special guest driver, teaming up with renowned driver Pook Tak-chun to represent the H-Star Racing team.

Taking the wheel of the bright pink No.88 Lotus EMIRA Cup car, Aaron surprised the crowd with his racing skills. The star won his first race, taking home the Masters Class cup. In true racing spirit, Aaron and his team celebrated by popping some champagne on the podium. Sadly, the H-Star Racing team didn’t fare well in the second round, but they still managed to finish in a respectable seventh place.
Despite not having a podium finish for the second round, Aaron was still excited about the experience. At the post-race press conference, the singer said, “I found this race very exciting and fun. I was also very happy to experience that track for the first time. It was very challenging. I hope to continue participating in future races in Chengdu Tianfu and share the joy of racing with fellow racing enthusiasts.”

The star’s long-standing passion for racing and supercars began over two decades ago. Besides having a notable collection of prized sports cars, which range from Ferraris to Lamborghinis, Aaron has also actively participated in various motorsports events. Last year, the 60-year-old made a breakthrough in his racing career, reaching the podium at a Chinese professional racing event.
In related news, Aaron will be making an appearance in Kuala Lumpur this weekend for the opening ceremony of the 2025 Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation in Malaysia. The star will also greet fans at the special screening of his upcoming film, “My First of May”.
