After eight years together, former Miss Hong Kong Toby Chan (陳庭欣) recently confirmed that she and billionaire boyfriend Benny Yeung (杨振源) have called it quits. Understandably, her newly single status brings about many changes to her living situation.
On 31st December 2025 (Wednesday), Toby confirmed to news outlets that she and Benny have broken up after eight years together. Benny is the owner of a personal care and skincare products company with a reported net worth of HK$1 billion (approximately RM521 million). According to Toby, the two broke up about three months ago due to differences in their values and life perspectives.

Toby’s announcement then brought up renewed interest in her living situation. During her relationship with Benny, the TVB actress lived a rather lavish lifestyle. In 2021, the couple moved into a luxurious mansion in Kau To Shan, reportedly costing HK$100,000 (approximately RM52,000) a month. The property measures around 3,003 square feet and features a garage and garden.
With her split, many were curious if Toby would have to give up her luxurious lifestyle. According to reports, the 38-year-old has since moved back to her old 500-square-foot flat in Wong Tai Sin. The star is now living alone in the property, which she purchased for over HK$9 million (approximately RM4.6 million) in 2020. Toby also returned to a more independent lifestyle, which includes driving herself to work instead of relying on a chauffeur.

Despite ending a long-term relationship, Toby appears to be in good spirits and is focusing on her career. As for her love life, the star hasn’t returned to the dating scene yet, but there are rumours that the star is growing close to television host Charles Tsang (曾錦燊). However, Toby clarified that her relationship with Charles is merely platonic and that she’s a close senior to the 28-year-old media personality.
Ending a romance after nearly a decade can be stressful, but we think Toby is handling everything rather gracefully. We hope everything works out for her. Perhaps she’ll even find a lasting love elsewhere.
