It’s no surprise that Malaysia is the preferred holiday destination for many Hong Kong stars. Recently, Hong Kong actress Moon Lau (劉佩玥) shared a set of photos of herself beautifully posing at a popular tourist spot in Penang.
On 4th October 2025 (Saturday), the former Miss Hong Kong Pageant runner-up shared a set of photos on her Instagram account. In the post, Moon looked radiant and sweet in a floral dress, posing in a colourful corridor. While she never disclosed the place, many eagle-eyed Malaysians noted that the distinctive corridor is none other than the popular tourist attraction in Penang, Jalan Kek Chuan.

According to Moon’s caption, the photos were from some time ago, so there’s no exact date on when she was in town. However, the actress did visit Penang last August to accompany the Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2025 finalists during their photoshoot, so she likely took the photos at the time. Nevertheless, local fans were happy to see the iconic street in the actress’s Instagram post.
Many fans have commented on the photos, praising the 36-year-old’s beauty and grace. Some said she looked like a princess in her flowy dress, noting how well the outfit suited her. Of course, her Malaysian fans were also excited that the star shared photos from her trip to Penang. Some even encouraged her to return to Malaysia as soon as possible, saying they would like to meet her in person.

Jalan Kek Chuan is recognised as one of the most beautiful streets in the world, ranking 17th out of 40 on a list by New York-based magazine, House Magazine. It’s notable for its colourful colonial shophouse, making for the perfect backdrop for photos and videos. After Moon shared her photos at Jalan Kek Chuan, many fans also thanked her for featuring the Penang tourist attraction, saying that she’s helping promote the state and the country to her followers.
Moon did mention that she’ll be sharing more photos from the past year on her Instagram, so perhaps we’ll see more pictures of Moon’s visit to Penang. Regardless, we’re glad that the actress appeared to have a great time in Malaysia.
