(UPDATE) Hello Kitty & Friends Are Coming To Malaysia For Our Sanrio Times Exhibition

Get ready to meet global icon Hello Kitty and all of her friends from Sanrio in Malaysia for Our Sanrio Times exhibition this coming school holiday from 24th November 2018 to 6th January 2019 at Quill City Mall, Kuala Lumpur!

The 1,500 sqm large exhibition features 13 Sanrio-themed zones where visitors can view and take photos of the 100 out of 400 adorable Sanrio characters in a variety of colourful settings, offering a visual experience like never before.

Set to be the largest exhibition of its kind in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, Our Sanrio Times – Kuala Lumpur will not only be an attraction to families and the little ones, but also to those who are young-at-heart, enabling them to relive their memories while capturing new ones.

Here are the 13 exciting zones at Our Sanrio Times – Kuala Lumpur

1. Our Sanrio Times

The main entrance to the adorable Sanrio world is decorated in Sanrio’s adorable and colourful style, depicting the main theme of the exhibition and officially unveiling the memorable journey for every generation of Sanrio fans.

2. Sanrio Time Tunnel

An array of 100 Sanrio family members created from 1960s until now are vividly illustrated on the wall. Through the Sanrio Time Tunnel, Sanrio lovers can go down the memory lane and remember all the unique Sanrio characters they grew up with.

3. The Retro Classic

The replica of Hello Kitty coin purse, the 1st ever Sanrio’s merchandise, will be on display at the exhibition.

4. The Plushy World

This zone features a giant Hello Kitty plush toy as tall as 3.5 meter and over 2,000 plushies of Sanrio characters including My Melody, Badtz-Maru, Pekkle, Kiki & Lala, Gudetama and more.

5. Paper Doll Fun

Relive your childhood moments by mixing and matching various outfits on Kiki & Lala paper dolls with the twins’ fantastic paper wardrobes.

6. Vintage Stationery House

Check out a range of Sanrio classic and vintage stationary items from 1970s and 1980s at this unique zone.

7. Drawing Classroom

Designers in charge of Sanrio are invited to engage with audience in this exhibition. The designers will provide hand sketch demonstration for 9 main Sanrio characters. In the classroom, fans will be able to witness how the Sanrio characters are drawn step by step.

8. Small Gift Big Smile

Get your loved ones some the most adorable small gifts from Sanrio and see the big smiles on their faces!

9. Sanrio Gift Gate

Get your hands on some exclusive Sanrio merchandise by shopping at Sanrio Gift Gate and share them with your friends and family!

10. Sanrio Village

The Sanrio village is the key focus of the exhibition. A classical design of Sanrio Train which imitates Sanrio Gift Gate of Gotanda at Tokyo in 1970s. 100 members of Sanrio family will appear in this village, for example, Patty & Jimmy and Minna no Tabo will be waiting for fans to board the train.

11. Strawberry Newsroom

Published by Sanrio Japan since October 1974, Strawberry News is a global monthly magazine that shares the latest update and information of Sanrio.

12. Strawberry Office

The primogenitor and soul of Sanrio which hides plenty of Sanrio secrets! Can you uncover it?

13. Strawberry Studio

This enchanting photo booth gives visitors the chance to grace the cover of Strawberry News!

Ticketing details to Our Sanrio Times Kuala Lumpur Exhibition are as follow:-

  • Early Bird (from 30 October till 20 November 2018): RM25
  • Malaysian Resident: RM33
  • Special Ticket for OKU & Senior Citizen (from 21 November 2018 to 6 January 2019): RM20
  • Non-Malaysian Ticket: RM60
  • Children below 90cm is free-of-charge
  • Tickets are available through www.ticketcharge.com.my

UPDATE (28th December):

Our Sanrio Times Exhibition period has been extended to 17th February 2019 due to popular demand by members of public. During this festive month until 1st January 2019, free cash voucher and cookies will be given away with every 4 tickets purchased.
