“The Greatest Showman” is expected to be a huge showstopper when it opens in cinemas later this month. Not only does the musical biopic has a star-studded cast, it also offers an amazing score.

Ahead of its released, Atlantic Records has uploaded the entire soundtrack on the company’s YouTube channel. Composers Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, the duo best known for their award-winning works on “La La Land” and the Broadway musical “Dear Evan Hansen”, are responsible for penning the original songs for “The Greatest Showman”.

Greatest Showman

The official statement by 20th Century Fox reads:

“‘The Greatest Showman’ is a bold and original musical that celebrates the birth of show business and the sense of wonder we feel when dreams come to life. Inspired by the ambition and imagination of P.T. Barnum, ‘The Greatest Showman’ tells the story of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a mesmerising spectacle that became a worldwide sensation. ‘The Greatest Showman’ is directed by exciting new filmmaker, Michael Gracey, with songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, and Zendaya.”

You can now listen to the full soundtrack below:

1. Hugh Jackman and ensemble – “The Greatest Show”

YouTube video

The story takes place during the late 1800s, but the music throughout the soundtrack sounds contemporary. Hugh Jackman shines in the opening number and it is nothing short of electrifying. This songs does a phenomenal job in setting the tempo for the rest of the movie.

2. Ziv Zaifman, Hugh Jackman and Michelle Williams – “A Million Dreams”

YouTube video

If you’re wondering who is that young boy singing on the track, it is Ziv Zaifman. The young actor may be relatively unknown at the moment, but his talents will take him far. The song transitions from Zaifman as the young Barnum to adulthood with Jackman as the titular character.

3. Austyn Johnson, Cameron Seely – “A Million Dreams” (Reprise)

YouTube video

4. Hugh Jackman, Keala Settle, Daniel Everidge, and Zendaya – “Come Alive”

YouTube video

You can’t help but want to dance to this energetic song. Aptly titled “Come Alive”, the tune encourages the listener to “Go and ride your light/ Let it burn so bright/ Reach it up/ To the sky“.

5. Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron – “The Other Side”

YouTube video

Whiskey, misery, and parties. Is that all to life? Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron’s characters are having a conversation here, with the former encouraging the latter to “live a little” and “laugh a little” more.

6. Loren Allred – “Never Enough”

YouTube video

Loren Allred is another breakout artist on the soundtrack. Some of you may remember the singer from her stint on “The Voice” season 3. Now some of you may be wondering “how come we didn’t see her in her movie“? That’s because the singing voice coming out of Rebecca Ferguson‘s mouth belongs to Allred. Regardless of the incredible lip sync, this beautiful power ballad gave us major goosebumps!

7. Keala Settle – “This Is Me”

YouTube video

Keala Settle takes us to church with the inspirational “This Is Me”. “When the sharpest words wanna cut me down/ Gonna send the floods, gonna drown them out/ I am brave, I am bruised, I am who I’m meant to be/ This is me,” sings the Broadway superstar on the track.

8. Zac Efron and Zendaya – “Rewrite The Stars”

YouTube video

“High School Musical” flashbacks anyone? Troy Bolton is back you guys. Zac Efron and Zendaya deliver the perfect pop love song with “Rewrite The Stars”. We love how their vocals complement each other so well.

9. Michelle Williams – “Tightrope”

YouTube video

Who knew that Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams had such a sweet singing voice? On “Tightrope”, she sings about her insecurities as her husband chase his dream. Despite her fears, she tells her hubby that she will “follow you to the great unknown/ Off to where what we call our home“.

10. Loren Allred – “Never Enough” (Reprise)

YouTube video

The reprise version is only 80-seconds long, but we’re glad it was included in the soundtrack as it showcases the vulnerability tone in the singer’s emotional voice.

11. Hugh Jackman – “From Now On”

YouTube video

We had Hugh Jackman opening “The Greatest Showman” soundtrack, so it’s only fitting that he closes the record too. What an awesome closer to the score. It’s hard to pick a favourite since the entire album is a delight from start to finish 😉

“The Greatest Showman” opens in local cinemas on 28th December 2017.
