More than 40 years later, we’re still thanking ABBA for the music. The Swedish pop group from Stockholm was formed by members Agnetha, Björn, Benny, and Anni-Frid with chart-topping hits from 1974 to 1982.
This month, UK’s premier ABBA tribute band, Gimme Gimme ABBA, featuring the Gimme Gimme Girls, Kate Galston and Lucy Williams, will be taking audience down memory lane as the dancing queens will be performing timeless hits from across the legendary Swedish group’s discography at 2 separate locations in Malaysia.
Set to captivate you with an authentic tribute to the iconic band with dazzling costumes, unique choreography, and fantastic vocals, the Gimme Gimme Girls together with the all-star Gimme Gimme band will be recreating the glitz and glam of those golden years with classic songs such as “Mamma Mia”, “Take a Chance On Me”, “Voulez-Vous”, “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!”, “Dancing Queen”, and many more.
After performing in Kuala Lumpur, the Gimme Gimme ABBA crew will be be heading to Kedah for a Royal Charity Gala Concert. The charitable performance is aiming to raise RM250,000 through ticket sales to support Yayasan Sultanah Bahiyah (YSB) to carry out its various community works (including the support of single mothers and orphanage homes).
