Although f(x)‘s Amber is best known for her rapping skills, she passed the SM auditions due to her singing skills. She is also known for being extremely talented in music because of her abilities to play various musical instruments and compose music.
And now, it seems like she is ready to show off her vocal abilities as she will be making a solo debut soon!
According to various Korean media outlets, f(x)’s Amber will be making her solo debut during the 2nd week of February. Having often featured as rappers in tracks, the solo debut will mark her first time performing as a solo singer. As her other members are busy with individual acting careers, she will be the first-ever f(x) member to make a solo debut.
Due to Amber’s talent in music, her solo debut is highly anticipated by the fans. She gained a huge international fan base because of her ability to speak fluently in more than 3 languages (English, Korean, Mandarin, Japanese). Most recently, the Taiwanese American member was seen appearing as a host for KBS 2TV’s “Global Request Show: A Song For You” and performing on stage with Super Junior-M’s Zhoumi for his “Rewind” performances. She is currently on MBC’s variety programme “Real Men – Female Soldier Special”.
While SM Entertainment kept everything about her solo debut under wraps, the company is said to be on the standby mode for Amber’s solo debut as they are currently wrapping up the song recordings and music video filming.

Earlier today, SM Entertainment updated their social media platforms with a mysterious picture of a broken fortune cookie. The word “beautiful” was written on the fortune paper but the picture was uploaded without a caption.

Many fans speculated that the word “beautiful” is the album name for SM’s upcoming solo artiste and now, it has been confirmed that f(x)’s Amber will be releasing he first solo album.
Though there’s no further details about Amber’s solo debut, it was reported that she will be showing a new side of her through her first mini-album. The agency further revealed that the singer had direct involvement in the album as she has taken part in writing the lyrics for the songs featured.
It has been reported that Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon is involved in Amber’s solo album as she is the featured artiste for her upcoming title track.
