Global home appliance brand CUCKOO recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary after being introduced to Malaysia in 2014. During the CUCKOOTOPIA Music Festival, held over the weekend, Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun (김수현) made a special appearance on stage to mark the momentous occasion. He was joined by a number of Malaysian ambassadors, including our very own Biduanita Negara, Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza.
At one point during the ceremony, the icon took out her phone to take a group selfie with the other ambassadors to commemorate the celebration. Fans pointed out that Kim Soo Hyun is the latest Korean celebrity with whom Siti Nurhaliza has taken a photo so let’s take a look back at who else the Malaysian legend shared the stage with.
Kim Soo Hyun (김수현)
Of course, let’s start with the latest. Fans were overjoyed when Siti Nurhaliza shared the photo she took on stage with the other CUCKOO ambassadors, including Jaclyn Victor, Phei Yong, and Kim Soo Hyun. Many also posted photos and videos of the two stars sharing the stage, commenting on how adorable they looked during the cake-cutting ceremony.
Lee Min Ho (이민호)
Who can forget this iconic moment? Two years ago, the “Sejarah” singer shared that she wasn’t allowed to take a photo with Lee Min Ho backstage at a CUCKOO event due to tight security. However, not wanting to miss the opportunity, the superstar had her phone ready while on stage to take a selfie with the Korean actor. “I told myself that if his bodyguards came up, I’d be ready to show off my Mat Kilau ‘silat’ skills. What else could I do, since the golden opportunity was right in front of my eyes?” she wrote.
NCT DREAM (엔시티 드림)
Talk about an N-SITI (NCT) moment, right? Back in 2019, Malaysia’s No.1 singer took a group photo with some members of NCT Dream at the K-Wave & Halal Show in Malaysia event. As seen in the post above, the idols present were Jisung, Jeno and Jaemin. Fans couldn’t believe their eyes after she posted the photo saying how lucky she was to have had the opportunity.
Lee Sung Kyung (이성경)
Who else can say they’ve taken photos with multiple Korean celebrities in one day? NCT Dream wasn’t the only Korean act to appear at the K-Wave & Halal Show. Actress Lee Sung Kyung also made a special appearance at the event, and Siti Nurhaliza wasted no time in finding the perfect moment to take a selfie with the “Miss & Mrs. Cops” star.
RAIN (비)
This entry doesn’t technically count, but we thought it was still worth mentioning, as the two superstars appeared in a few promo photos together. Although Siti didn’t have the chance to meet Rain in person, she remains one of the few Malaysian artists featured in CUCKOO’s promo photos with the K-pop idol, who was also a brand ambassador back in 2020.
