Buying a LEGO set that comes with over 2000 brick pieces needs to come with a manual. Unless you’re one of those Master Builders who create their own from scratch from the tons of LEGO blocks at their disposal.
What started out as an idea born from the boredom of the Covid-19 lockdown might just come to life. Daft Punk fans may soon have an official LEGO Set as tribute to one of the DJ duo’s most iconic stages. The “Daft Punk Concert” LEGO Ideas build is the work of Patrick Harboun, an engineer, designer and devout dad, who decided to replicate the electronic music duo’s 2007 Alive Pyramid Stage with his 8-year-old.
Made with 2000+ pieces with over 10,000 supporters on the official LEGO Ideas site, this iconic LEGO set has progressed to the review stage for production consideration. Looking at the impressive build elements, the set consists of flashing lights, transparent elements, and a rotating central box powered by a small motor.
Originally making waves in 2020 for winning the grand prize at the Lego and Universal Music’s “Music To Our Ears!” competition, the set was not meant for commercial production at that point. However, Harboun decided to resubmit the project to LEGO, saying, “We’re feeling inspired to try ‘One More Time’ after seeing Daft Punk making their LEGO debut in the upcoming film Piece By Piece, alongside Pharrell Williams“.
Daft Punk fans are eagerly waiting for this to be an official set, hoping to add to their collection. The final decision will be known at the end of 2025, but what do you think about this build?
