1. Lee Si Young & Cho Seong-hyun
According to reports, actress Lee Si-young (이시영) is divorcing her husband, restaurateur Cho Seong-hyun, after eight years of marriage. The former couple submitted the necessary documents to Seoul Family Court earlier this year. “As this is the actress’s private matter, we kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot comment further,” her agency stated. The reason for their divorce has not been disclosed.
2. Aisha Retno
During an interview, Malaysian singer-songwriter Aisha Retno revealed that she recently broke up with her boyfriend. The singer shared that they were together for a few months, but unfortunately, things didn’t work out. “It’s quite difficult to find someone who understands how we work as artists. We are still good friends. I prefer to maintain a good relationship with this person,” she said. The artist reassured fans that she’s doing well and has even written a song about her recent breakup.
3. Abang Viva & Eva Noza
Influencer Abang Viva, who went viral for rescuing flood victims in Malaysia in 2021, has announced that he and his wife, Eva Noza Zakaria, have divorced after 3 years together. In a now-deleted TikTok post, the content creator wrote, “We’re already divorced. I can’t stand it; it’s our dignity that’s being trampled on.”
Prior to the announcement, there were multiple reports alleging that Abang Viva had cheated on his wife with another married woman.
4. Mariko Goto & Go Yoshida
Japanese singer-songwriter Mariko Goto (後藤 まりこ) and professional interviewer Go Yoshida have announced in a joint statement that they have filed for divorce after one year of marriage. According to their social media post, the divorce was likely prompted by Goto sharing details about her husband’s personal matters before their marriage. The notice also explains that Yoshida did not have the resolve to be Goto’s husband, which as a result has hurt her many times.
