One of the many perks of being royalty is the opportunity to meet your favourite celebrities whenever they visit your country. Princess Zatashah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah of Selangor has met many international celebrities throughout the year and has even formed close friendships with them.
Although she has attended many events and concerts this year, for this article, we’ll focus on the K-pop artists with whom Her Royal Highness has taken photos. Let’s find out who she has met in 2024:
1. DPR Ian (유바롬)
Let’s start with the latest. He may not be considered an idol now but DPR Ian used to be part of K-pop group C-Clown before they disbanded in 2015. The singer was here last night for the “The Dream Reborn” concert and while fans didn’t get to see him after the show, the Selangor Princess did as she took a photo with him backstage.
2. GOT7’s Mark Tuan (마크투안)
Tengku Zatashah has met with GOT7’s Mark Tuan every time he visited Malaysia this year. During his most recent visit, Her Royal Highness gave him a special private tour around the Selangor palace.
3. THE BOYZ’s Sangyeon (상연)
The Selangor Princess attended THE BOYZ’s concert at Mega Star Arena back in September but unfortunately, she couldn’t meet all the members that evening. Luckily for her, member Sang Yeon took the time to say hi after the group’s energy performance.
4. INFINITE’s Kim Sung Kyu (김성규)
Kim Sung Kyu, the leader of the legendary group INFINITE (인피니트) was in town back in August for his “LV3: Let’s Vacay” tour. Tengku Zatashah was one of the fans who attended his show and even got to meet him after the event. In her Instagram post, she said she’s looking forward to the next time he visits Malaysia.
5. EPIK HIGH (에픽하이)
This group is more known for Hip-Hop than K-pop but we’re still going to include them on this list. The Selangor Royal posed with the trip after an energetic concert at Zepp KL earlier this year. According to her, the members were “so cool and fun 😎”.
6. EXO’s Suho (수호)
Back in July, EXO leader Suho wowed fans at his “Welcome To Su:Home” concert in Kuala Lumpur which also had him feeling emotional at one point. “Fantastic concert, beautiful ballads, and so much fun,” Tengku Zatashah described the event in a social media post, alongside two photos of her meeting the idol backstage.
7. B.I (비아이)
Who could forget the night B.I (Hanbin) invited fans to dance with him on stage during his concert at Mega Star Arena. Apparently, the Selangor Princess was one of the audience members at the concert. The two public figures met up backstage after the show to take a photo together.
8. BTOB Peniel (프니엘 신)
Unlike the other idols on this list, Tengku Zatashah was lucky enough to have met this one abroad instead of in Malaysia. The two attended the A BATHING APE Fashion Week event in Shanghai back in June earlier this year. “Hopefully, we’ll get to see you next time either in Seoul or Kuala Lumpur!”, she wrote in her captions.
