The Mid-Autumn Festival has always ignited a sense of nostalgia and community amongst Malaysians and this year is no different. An ode to childhood memories and time-honoured traditions, this year’s celebration features new additions and crowd-favourite mooncakes from many of our beloved establishments.

One of the highlights during the Lunar Treasures celebration is, of course, the design of the gift box. With the gifting experience in mind, hotels and local brands have ensured that these dainty treasured delicacies come beautifully encased in thoughtfully designed elegant gift boxes, offering a perfect blend of taste and aesthetics.

Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown

Lady Yi’s Tea House at Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown is bringing that together in its Lunar Treasures Mooncake Collection. An ode to childhood memories and time-honoured traditions, this year’s celebration features two new additions to their crowd-favourite mooncakes and a festive gift box inspired by the artwork of local artist, Alice Chang in Lady Yi’s Tea House.

In the spirit of bringing those traditions to the modern age, Four Points Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown has introduced Baked Chocolate and Baked Musang King mooncakes to their current lineup that features Lady Yi’s Signature 11 Treasures Tea mooncake, White Lotus With Single Egg Yolk, Red Bean, and Green Tea mooncakes. The hotel hopes to be able to share the wonder of the Mid-Autumn Festival with more people than ever before through the addition of these two new flavours that are perfectly matched to the Southeast Asian palate.

The Lunar Treasures Mooncake Collection is priced at RM138+ for a selection of four mouth-watering mooncakes or at RM35+ per mooncake. Guests can also visit Lady Yi’s Tea House to experience a curated pairing of premium Chinese teas chosen to bring out tasting notes in the different mooncakes. All the mooncakes in the Lunar Treasures Collection are hand-crafted in a halal kitchen and are certified pork-free.

Moonlit Memento by Four Points by Sheraton

Introducing the Moonlit Memento, a distinguished mooncake collection that celebrates simplicity with inspiration from vintage tin boxes. This collection, designed to evoke nostalgia, serves as a timeless piece perfect for commemorating the opulent season. The multipurpose tin box captures the essence of vintage-inspired packaging, intricately adorned with a bold Biàn Liàn motif from ancient Sichuan culture. The theatrical mask on the box not only tells its own story but also represents the restaurant’s DNA, adding a touch of authenticity.

Embracing a classic feel, each Moonlit Memento set includes four traditionally baked mooncakes crafted with the chef’s special recipe. The selection features beloved flavours like Red Bean, White Lotus Single Yolk, Golden Jade Single Yolk, and Green Tea. As the collection is curated to perfection, the flavours are not customisable, ensuring a consistent and delightful experience for all.

Price List:

Price : MYR 168 nett per set
Early Bird : 20% off from July 15th – August 15th, 2024, 15% off from August 16th – September 16th, 2024

For its debut collection, Impiana KLCC is offering six mooncake flavours to tantalise every palate. The classic Black Sesame with Yolk mooncake stands out with its rich flavour profile, featuring a savoury, granular salted egg yolk at its centre. Wrapped in earthy black sesame, this mooncake delivers subtle nutty and sweet notes, all encased in a fragrant, perfectly baked golden crust. Toffee Butterscotch provides a delightful treat for those with a sweet tooth, combining caramel cream with a butterscotch lotus paste centre, resulting in a creamy, buttery indulgence. Luminarie, with its silky white lotus paste and moist, savoury salted egg, offers a creamy, soft centre enveloped in a golden brown, baked skin.

For those who love bold flavours, the Sakura Shrimp Sambal mooncake is a must-try. This adventurous option blends fragrant, umami-rich hot shrimp sambal paste with creamy coconut lotus paste, creating an incredibly distinctive and savoury treat. Scarlet Snow delivers a refreshing experience with its pomegranate omochi, rose petals, and honey filling, perfect for fans of fragrant flavours.
