Award season is upon us once again! We recently saw the Grammy Award nominations revealed, and now the focus shifts from music to acting.
Yesterday (Monday, 8th December), the Golden Globes officially announced the full list of nominees for the upcoming 83rd edition of the prestigious awards next year, and there are plenty of strong contenders this time around. In this feature, we’ll be focusing on first-time nominees and their reactions to receiving such recognition:

The Best Original Song nomination also makes EJAE the first Korean-American to be recognised in the category as both performer and composer for the popular track. “There are no words to explain exactly how I feel right now. It’s always been a dream of mine ever since I was a kid, and to be the first [Korean-American] nominated is a lot of pressure, but at the same time, I feel very honoured and super humbled right now,” she said in an interview.
