No one said dating is easy – and, admittedly, finding the right one takes time. Unfortunately for some, the more people they meet, the more push back they have to endure. Twitter user @/Nursafhiaa brought up the topic of dating when she asked netizens about their worst dating experiences.

To start, she shared hers about a guy she dated in university. She said that while using his laptop for work, she found out that he had subscribed to an online sex service and was even chatting with the girl while they were together. While her story piqued the interest of many, it also got more netizens to add to the conversation, sharing their terrible dating experiences:

Cheaters

Unfortunately for many Malaysians, their worst dating experience involved cheaters, like one user who said she dated a man for three years, only to find that he had three other girlfriends that whole time. Another woman said she unknowingly dated a man who already had a girlfriend and a side chick. She added that all three girls ganged up to expose the man of his cheating ways.

Cheapskates And Gold Diggers

For some, their worst dating experiences were with cheapskates and gold diggers. One man said that the girl he was seeing asked for some McDonald’s on the first date but, on the same day, also asked to borrow some money so she could buy some food. After a few days of no contact, the woman suddenly texted him – asking to borrow money. On the other hand, a woman said her ex-boyfriend was so calculative that he even asked for the remaining 10 cents she left out from paying him back after asking him to buy bread for her.

Chronically Online

And while there is nothing wrong with having an online presence, some Malaysians said it was what contributed to their worst dating experience. One man said that he once dated a woman who needed to photograph everything so she could post it on social media. He even said it was so awkward when he had to film a video of her walking around FamilyMart.
