Friends Dedicate Heartfelt Posts To Swimmer Ayrton Lim

It’s been 2 days since Ayrton Lim Ling Te (林登) was found dead at his family home in Kuching, Sarawak.

Police said that there were criminal elements involved but according to his mum, the 19-year-old Malaysian athlete had been suffering from depression 3 days prior. Since then, many have poured in their condolences.

Many friends took to Instagram to recall how they first met and bonded over the years. “We hang out, we talk, we laugh, what we’ve done will always (remain) in my mind. Appreciate that I have a really good friend, chaser and teammate. I hope that in the next life you can be my best friend again,” Darren wrote.

“Once we went fishing, w just talking about our future, our path, our future journey, our future retiring plan. But at the same time, not forgetting to meet each other again,” shared another, before recalling how they enjoyed lunch time over coffee and talk about making plans for another fishing trip again.

Another close friend by the name of Janet Lee also dedicated a lengthy post to Ayrton. She recalled how the hunky swimmer had always been thoughtful throughout the years. The female friend also remembered when Ayrton visited Aeon mall for the first time.

She went on to list down some of their memories together – Ayrton’s internship, his relationship with his younger brother Ryan, his love for horror movies, and how he resembles American actor Cole Sprouse (spoiler: it’s the hair).

Like how u remembered that math is my fav sub, when u told me that you’re the first in 10 batch to get promoted to sales and marketing during ur internship, when u broke ur personal record in training, when u bought a new phone and brought it to school to show off and there’s spot check, when u told me how the pimple at ur eyelid hurts so bad, when u thought my bday was 26 oct and called me to wish me and texted me after that saying how u read ur calendar wrongly, when u told me how much u miss ur baby bro Ryan when u weren’t in kch and how he was annoyed when u kissed and hugged him, when u mistaken dots for legends of the blue sea. — I’ll never get to see ur cole sprouse hair that you wanted to try || when u told me u played the guitar ? || when u told me u watched alone cuz I couldn’t make it — Thanks for constantly asking me how I’m doing and how I’m coping with my studies, asking me not to sleep so much and study more, encouraging me to listen to myself always, giving me ur reference book, calling me ur horror movie partner, and asking me out for movies but I only make it 2/10 times. ?
