Fitbit goes fashion forward with their latest product, the Fitbit Alta.

Fitness trackers are all the rage these days and the market for stylish wearables that record data of your activities is getting increasingly crowded.

Whether it’s used to tell the time, monitor your workouts, or track how well/not well you’re sleeping, people are slowly gravitating towards these magical wrist gadgets. And because they’re things that require you to wear them all the time, wearable tech companies have gotten busy developing non-rubbery/non-plasticky designs that are more versatile for every day use.

Introducing, the Fitbit Alta.

The just-announced Fitbit product is a new style conscious fitness tracker that’s launching in the US in March. It features a large OLED screen that’s capable of showing select notifications from your smartphone – incoming calls, text messages, and calendar alerts.

While the Fitbit Charge HR motivates you to achieve 10,000 steps a day, the Alta breaks it down to a mini-step goal of 250 steps each hour. If the goal hasn’t been reached 10 minutes before the hour is up, the Fitbit Alta will remind you with a gentle vibration. It’s great to help you keep your metabolism up.

It also claims to have a long battery life as you will be able to wear your wristband up to 5 full days and nights without needing a charge.

The best part is that its sleek design makes it look very low-key but its interchangeable straps allow you to personalise the Fitbit Alta to match your #ootd or #ootn and, if you’d like, turn it into a fashion statement. Leather band by day and metal band by night? Sure, why not! You might actually want to wear this one when you go out partying 🙂

The Fitbit Alta is currently priced at USD130. Our best guess is that it’ll probably arrive in April for other places in the world i.e. Malaysia.
