With so many local stars tying the knot – and rumoured to be soon – it’s no surprise that fans are hoping that their favourite stars will also say their “I Dos”. However, fans of Erra Fazira may have to wait longer to see the actress at the altar.
Recently, there have been speculations that the 51-year-old will tie the knot with her rumoured boyfriend, entrepreneur Ezwan Zain, also known as Mr E. The two have been rumoured to be dating since late last year after the actress shared a birthday post for the Kueh Cafe founder. However, neither Erra nor Ezwan has confirmed their relationship, though that never stopped netizens from speculating about them taking their romance to the next level.
While some fans were already excited about the rumoured marriage, Erra has since denied the claims. In an interview with a local news outlet, the star, whose real name is Fazira Wan Chek, dismissed the rumours that the pair have already set an October wedding date. She also added that the claims are baseless as she hasn’t discussed marriage with either party’s family.
Erra also spoke about the rumours that some businesses were interested in sponsoring her wedding ceremony. While the star confirmed that some brands have reached out about sponsoring the event, she said nothing is set yet, given that there is no wedding or date yet. Additionally, Erra said she wants to discuss things with her and Ezwan’s family to get everyone’s blessings.
However, Erra assured that she won’t shy away from announcing any marriage news. She said, “If possible, I want everything to go smoothly and maturely. Everyone knows we’re on friendly terms. So, please share your blessings, pray for us and let things go their own way.” For those curious, Erra has been married twice, first to KRU member Yusry Halim and second to businessman Engku Emran. She also has one daughter with Engku Emran.
