This Christmas season from 23rd November to 26th December, stop by 1 Utama Shopping Mall to experience a little bit of Christmas magic! Discover the cosy little Swiss Alps Town and be enchanted by the alpine scenery with snow-capped peaks and crystal clear lakes as you tour this picturesque countryside.

Located at the Oval concourse, this perfect holiday town is filled to the brim with fun activities to do! From fine dining in the life-sized British Stream Train to shopping at the Christmas-themed booths, you will definitely fill your day with a super fun time! Here are 6 things you can expect at 1 Utama this time of year;

1. 30-feet British Steam Train with Onboard Dining Carriage

This year, 1 Utama Shopping Mall has stepped up its game by bringing in a life-sized 30-foot British Steam Train locomotive. Located in the middle of town, it is so true-to-life that it even features billowing smoke and stimulated puffing sounds. Children and adults alike can enjoy this remarkable decor that seems too good to be true!

What’s more, is that shoppers can even enter the train and snap Instagram-worthy photos. What’s inside is a glamorous dining carriage where you can sit and chill with your loved ones, while enjoying the panoramic views of the mountains.

2. Diorama Showcase

After a tour of the train and its magnificent carriage, stop by the diorama booth next to the train. You’ll be surprised to see a stunning 3D diorama showcase painstakingly created by renowned local visual artist Eddie Putera Noordin!

If you’ve never seen his works before, this is the time to do so. The visual artist has expertly and beautifully captured scenes of the mall’s cosy Swiss Alps town and train set miniatures with his fine craftsmanship – which is absolutely magical!

3. Choo-Choo Train Ride

Children and families will be delighted to know that 1 Utama has also brought out another fun activity for you to do. There is a smaller version of the Steam Train, but this time it actually moves around!

When you are done exploring the town, hop on the Choo-Choo Train for a complimentary ride around the mall. As you are riding, relax and explore the mall’s endless row of shops while you regain your energy to go for a second shopping trip around the mall.

4. Book Matters

In the spirit of giving, adults and children alike can participate in the “Book Matters” campaign to collect nice points for Santa Claus! Bring any or all books you would like to donate to 1 Utama and drop it off at the “Book Matters” booth located in the town.

This book drive is in partnership with Books For a Better World (BFBW), where the books you donated will be circulated to libraries and learning centres to promote literacy and share the joy of reading. Let’s pass on some of the Christmas spirits to those in need!

5. Live Shows

After a long day of shopping, take a breather and stop by the Oval concourse to watch the awesome festive shows while regaling in wonderful stories and music. The performer line-up is specially curated to warm the hearts of 1 Utama shoppers and spread the Christmas cheer.

Some of the performances include Scottish bagpipes music performance, marching band, musicals, Santa Claus Meet & Greet, and many more! Happening every weekend, make sure to take a break and enjoy the festivities.
