The Squad is back together y’all!
Filming for “Suicide Squad 2” won’t start until later this year, but it appears that the cast has already gotten a head start on their training. This news comes courtesy of Joel Kinnaman’s latest Instagram post this morning (Friday, 19th January).

Kinnaman, who portrayed Rick Flagg in “Suicide Squad“, is pictured together with Aussie star Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) and surprisingly, Jay Hernandez (El Diablo). The social media post doesn’t directly mention that they’re preparing for the sequel, but the photo evidence is sufficient enough.
As you may know, El Diablo sacrificed himself in order to stop Enchantress during the final battle scene. The pyrokinetic powered up and proceeded to hold the Incubus over an explosive until it was detonated. If this photo is indeed a Task Force X training, perhaps Warner Bros. has found a way to bring the fiery member back.
Only time will tell if Diablo is officially back for good. “Suicide Squad 2” does not have a release date yet.
