EatLokal Is On A Mission To Help Local Restaurants Bounce Back

The past few months hasn’t been easy on the food and beverage industry. Enter EatLokal, a new platform that is seeking to help Klang Valley eateries bounce back and benefit consumers at the same time.

Thanks to the new SOP, restaurants had to limit the number of diners. Customers who opt for food delivery, on the other hand, are forking out more. EatLokal offers an alternative to this predicament.

“As consumers, we have all felt the pinch of rapid increases in the prices that we pay for food delivery. We know there is a better, fairer way for everyone involved – the restaurants who provide the food and their employees; the delivery teams who do the work of sending the food to consumers; and consumers themselves. EatLokal is a community of focused effort disruptors from Malaysia’s digital landscape who aim to improve the quality of service, pricing and approach to food delivery services while supporting and protecting our local restaurants, cafes and other food outlets who are working hard to stay open for us,” said CEO Stephen P Francis.

Some of the highlights from this platform includes:

  • Restaurants on the platform can join at an initial commission on sales of only 10% for the launch period as part of EatLokal’s efforts to help Malaysian businesses bounce back.

  • The service is now available across Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur, Bangsar, Damansara, Hartamas, Mont Kiara, Tropicana, Bandar Utama, Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI), Sunway, Subang Jaya, USJ, and surrounding areas.

  • Your favourite neighbourhood spots on EatLokal currently include YMT Healthy Vegetarian, W1 Dining & Cocktails, Concubine KL, Asian Rice Pot, The Locker & Loft and The Accidental Bakers.

Users can check the availability of EatLokal’s service in various locations here.
