It appears wedding bells are in Dove Cameron and Damiano David’s future! After two years of dating, the couple rang in the new year with the joyous news that they’re engaged.
On 4th January 2026 (Sunday), the Disney Channel alum and Måneskin frontman shared two separate posts on Instagram, announcing their engagement. On Dove’s account, the actress shared photos of herself and Damiano showing off her engagement ring. The caption for the post reads, “My favourite part of being alive 💍 Happy new year.”
Meanwhile, Damiano shared the same set of photos, along with the captions, “It’s gonna be a beautiful year.” Fans and fellow celebrities, including Benson Boone and Finneas, have reacted to the happy news, congratulating the couple on their engagement. Many also wished Dove and Damiano a long-lasting and happy relationship.
Dove and Damiano first crossed paths at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, where they were both nominated for Best New Artist. However, the two would only start dating the year after, and make their first public appearance together in early 2024. The couple celebrated their second anniversary in October 2025.
It’s believed that Dove and Damiano got engaged last year, around the time of their anniversary celebration. During the same month, the couple were spotted together in Australia. In the photo, the actress wore the same ring as the one in her engagement announcement post, hinting that Damiano popped the question months ago.
