M·A·C Cosmetics has officially announced multiplatinum, Grammy-winning artist Doja Cat as its newest Global Ambassador, kicking off the partnership with a bold debut at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.
True to her unpredictable style, Doja shocked the red carpet when she appeared to take a bite out of her signature M·A·C Lipstick in Lady Danger – which turned out to be a chocolate replica crafted by pastry artist Amaury Guichon. She later opened the show with the debut performance of “Jealous Type” and celebrated the night with a win for Best K-Pop VMA alongside LISA and RAYE.
“This is such a full-circle moment. I’ve always been a M·A·C girl, and now I get to share that love with the world,” said Doja. “Makeup is my paint, my armor, my way of creating characters – and with M·A·C, we’re going to push artistry to the next level.”
According to Nicola Formichetti, M·A·C’s Global Creative Director, the collaboration marks a meeting of two fearless forces: “Doja has a raw, creative energy that’s authentically M·A·C. Together, we’ll disrupt beauty and redefine self-expression.”
