TV’s The Chapman family mourns the loss of a young life. On 19th July (Saturday), Duane “Dog” Chapman’s step-grandson, Anthony, was accidentally shot in his apartment by his father, Gregory Zecca. Anthony had recently turned 13, marking what should have been the beginning of his teenage years. The situation has left both families and the wider community searching for answers and clarity.
Since the incident, those close to the family have come together to support one another. Antony’s absence has left a noticeable gap in their daily lives. Friends and relatives continue to visit, share memories, and offer help where they can. The family is focusing on remembering Anthony and handling the days ahead.

American television personality Duane “Dog” Chapman, more commonly known as Dog the Bounty Hunter, married his current wife, Francie Frane, back in 2021. Both had lost previous spouses to cancer, which helped form a strong bond built on trust and shared grief. Francie has two sons from her previous marriage, including George, who is her biological son.
The accident reportedly happened around 8pm. When police arrived at the scene, they found Gregory panicking and Anthony suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics attempted to save him, but the teen was pronounced dead shortly after. At this stage, investigators have found no evidence of criminal intent. Whether the incident involved negligence or was a freak accident remains unclear as the case develops.

As of now, the incident has been classified as an “accidental discharge” of the weapon. No arrests have been made, as the case remains under investigation. The family has asked for privacy, stating, “We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible, tragic accident.” They also hope that fans and the public will continue to keep Anthony in their thoughts and prayers.
Additionally, the family strongly believes this was a tragic accident and urges everyone to refrain from speculation or spreading rumours. They ask for respect and understanding as they process their grief and try to heal. We extend our deepest condolences to the Chapman family and stand with them in their loss.
