Dime & adidas Shred Competition With New Stan Smith & Adilette Ayoon Slides

Just because adidas is known for its exceptional sporting equipment, that doesn’t mean it can’t learn a few new tricks – the German-based brand has teamed up with one of the largest authorities in the realm of skateboarding, Dime MTL, to bring you the Stan Smith and Adilette Ayoon Slides Collaboration.

A collection by adidas Skateboarding and Dime honours both an unabashed spirit of innovation in sports and a time to live and play. The most recent co-creation between the two brands is unattached to the conventional framings of sport and is motivated by competition and the newly invented game of skateball. Skateball is a cross between skateboarding and tennis that takes the technical aspects of skateboarding and its naturally aggressive yet laid-back vibes to the tennis court, where most players play by traditional tennis rules.

These newest additions to the brand’s extensive lineup, like any other sports-focused footwear, are designed to help both experts and novices in this emerging sport. However, though they are made with sports in mind, that shouldn’t stop you from strutting in this functionally fashionable footwear, which is available in both shoe and slipper variants.

We start with the Dime x adidas Stan Smith, which features a luxurious embossed full-grain leather upper that is as soft as it is durable. The shoe has some embossed details that are reminiscent of soccer or volleyball, which further emphasise its sporty nature.

The sneakers feature a singular solid colour, black or white, throughout the sneaker, save for the synthetic patent leather heel moustaches, which are brown or green, respectively.

These heel moustaches also display adidas and Dime’s logos in glittering gold across both colourways of the shoe, a testament to their collaborative efforts while adding some more visual variety.

Though skateboarding shoes are traditionally rigid when you first slip them on, largely for durability’s sake as well as providing the user with great grip while on the board, you can rest assured that your feet will enter a world of comfort thanks to the footwear’s EVA foam sockliner. With its naturally stretchy, rubber-like qualities, you can skate, walk, and run comfortably without developing any aches and pains from traditional skateboarding shoes.

However, if you are looking for cosy and more casual-looking footwear, then look no further than the Dime x adidas Adilette Ayoon Slides. Primarily built for comfort, these sandals embody the ethos of their sneaker cousins, as they are purely made from full EVA foam, which provides all the benefits mentioned above with added breathability from their open-toed design.

The comfort is further enhanced thanks to their slip-on design, which lets you wear them easily and be out the door in a matter of seconds. And though they are easy to put on, they won’t easily come off thanks to their narrow fit, letting them stay on for dear life.

The adidas Adilette Ayoon Slides arrive in a gradient-focused tone in either “Simple Brown/Brown/Gold” or “Black/Vista Grey/Silver” that are there to compliment your style in a more subtle way when you’re off the court.

The Dime x adidas Stan Smith and Dime x adidas Adilette Ayoon Slides are priced at RM564 and RM282, respectively. You can cop a pair exclusively online at the Dime MTL and the adidas CONFIRMED app today!
