Anime and manga fans, rejoice – another childhood favourite will be making a special appearance in Kuala Lumpur later this year. If you enjoyed previous exhibitions and pop-up events like the “Jujutsu Kaisen” Exhibition and the “Crayon Shin-Chan” Experience, you’ll want to clear your calendar and make plans to visit this next one.
From the same team that brought the aforementioned anime and manga events to KL, ACO Media has announced that a special exhibition of the iconic “Detective Conan” (名探偵コナン) series will be making its way to Malaysia later this year. Here’s what we know so far:
According to the announcement, the “Detective Conan” Exhibition will be held in KL in celebration of the series’ 30th anniversary. The exhibition has been touring around Asia with the most recent country being Thailand. The iconic mystery manga was first published in 1994 and the series has yet to end. The story follows the famous teenage detective Kudo Shinichi, who is drugged by a mysterious group of men and somehow transformed back into a child.
Retaining the mind of his former self and adopting the new identity of Edogawa Conan, the young detective continues to solve mysteries while living the life of an ordinary child. At the time of writing, there is no information on exactly when and where this special exhibition will be held but what we do know is that it will take place this December. Based on what we know from the recent exhibition in Bangkok, the exhibition will be divided into several zones, each following the story of the popular series.
