#Deadpool: Ryan Reynolds’ Shocking Confession To The Test Footage Leaker

To the person who leaked the test footage of “Deadpool” last year, Ryan Reynolds just made a shocking confession about you when he spoke with Entertainment Weekly.

According to Reynolds, the project was only able to meet forward because the leaked test footage received overwhelmingly great responses from fans. It was a footage created by Blur Studio back in 2011 when Tim Miller was still developing the project. The video was quickly removed by Fox, but it was still heavily circulated on the Internet, prompting the studio to fast-track the project instead.

Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool

Surprisingly, Reynolds was glad that the footage was leaked because he previously had plans to collaborate with David S.Goyer to produce a “Deadpool” film at New Line Cinema in 2003. Unfortunately, the project fell apart. He was then cast in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” as Wade Wilson, but the spin-off film was a mess as it showed us a completely different version of Deadpool (played by Scott Adkins).

Through the leaked test footage, Reynolds was once again given the chance to play the loud, sarcastic antihero in the upcoming “Deadpool” solo movie. The actor is obviously beyond excited as he told EW that he wants to kiss the test footage leaker.

According to EW, he purred:

And not just a little kiss. But full on the mouth, sloppy, with tongue, for 2 straight minutes on live television, without commercial interruption. And then I’ll buy you dinner at Red Lobster, at least, and dessert.

Mm hmm. Blake Lively, you might need to look out for your husband before he does something outlandish.

Deadpool Movie Official Still

Meanwhile, EW has debuted a new official still from “Deadpool”, which is also a spin-off film for the “X-Men” film series.

The movie, directed by first-time director Tim Miller, will be ignoring the events that took place in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”. It will be based on a script written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Miller, who also designed the arresting open credits sequence for “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, cited David Fincher‘s movie as a touchstone.

He said:

I felt “Fight Club” and Tyler Durden were good corollaries. We are in strip clubs and dive bars and crappy apartments and far away from the shiny X-Men world.

Producer Simon Kinberg (of “X-Men: Days of Future Past” fame) also reassured that the project that will feature a massive amount of graphic contents. “Deadpool is a hard R,” he said. “It’s graphic. Nothing is taboo. You either commit to a truly outrageous boundary-pushing kind of movie or you don’t“.

Deadpool 2016 - Ryan Reynolds First Look

The official synopsis is as follows:

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, “Deadpool” tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Slated for release on 12th Feb 2016, “Deadpool” stars “Gotham” star Morena Baccarin as Vanessa a.k.a Copycat, “Fast & Furious 6” star Gina Carano as Angel Dust, TJ Miller as Deadpool’s sidekick Weasel, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, “Game of Thrones” star Ed Skrein as Ajax.
