Another couple just tied the knot! Darren Criss is a married man y’all.
The “Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” actor, 32, and his longtime girlfriend Mia Swier, 33, exchanged vows in New Orleans over the weekend – Saturday, 16th February 2019 to be exact.
The sweethearts have been together for approximately 8 years. He announced his engagement on social media in January last year. “Mia and I have had seven and a half years of fun, wacky, wonderful, CRAZY adventures together. And I’m happy to announce that we’re kicking those adventures up a notch. We’re goin for it. To boldly go where neither of us have gone before. Engage,” he wrote.
The recent Emmy and Golden Globe winner looked handsome in his white tuxedo and black dress shoes. Meanwhile, the beautiful bride was stunning in a shoulder-less white wedding gown which had a corset top and flowing tulle for the train. Instead of wearing high heels, she opted for a pair of white boots.
The Hollywood star later told Esquire that his proposal “was a long time coming”. “We’d waited a while before we announced it. I had a whole thing written, like, Usually I don’t like talking about my private life… which I really don’t – I was really allergic to it for a while,” he was quoted as saying. “Eventually I got over myself and realised that it’s just the best way to let people know.”
The star-studded guest list included his fellow “Glee” co-stars like John Stamos, Chord Overstreet, Lea Michele, and Harry Shum Jr. Hopefully more snapshots from the wedding ceremony will be uploaded on social media soon.
