What a tragic news!
The lead singer of Irish band The Cranberries, Dolores O’Riordan has died suddenly at age 46. According to publicist Lindsey Holmes, the Irish rockstar “died suddenly” in London today. Cause of her death remains unknown.
“Family members are devastated to hear the breaking news and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.” Holmes told the press.
“The lead singer with the Irish band The Cranberries was in London for a short recording session. No further details are available at this time.”
The Cranberries’ Noel, Mike Hogan and Fergal Lawler responded to the heartbreaking news on Twitter.
We are devastated on the passing of our friend Dolores. She was an extraordinary talent and we feel very privileged to have been part of her life from 1989 when we started the Cranberries. The world has lost a true artist today.

Dolores O’Riordan was best known worldwide for hit songs with The Cranberries like “Zombie” and “Linger.”
