3 new Covid-19 red zones have been reported today (Tuesday, 7th April). They are Putrajaya, Rembau in Negri Sembilan and Jasin in Melaka – bringing the total red zones in Malaysia to 21.

Although there are no new orange zones, the number of red zones have been increasing. An orange zone is a district between 20 – 40 Covid-19 cases, whereas 41 and above will fall under the red zone.

The 21 Covid-19 red zones currently are:

Lembah Pantai (386), Hulu Langat (324), Petaling (296), Kuching (174), Kluang (170), Seremban (162), Johor Bahru (145), Kepong (116), Klang (112), Gombak (110), Titiwangsa (93), Kinta (87), Kota Bahru (82), Tawau (67), Hilir Perak (65), Jerantut (61), Batu Pahat (47), Cheras (45), Jasin (42), Putrajaya (41), and Rembau (41).

Meanwhile, the 19 districts that are orange zones include:

Sepang (39), Lahad Datu (38), Seberang Perai Tengah (37), Kuantan (36), Kota Samarahan (36), Kota Kinabalu (34), Kuala Muda (33), Kuala Selangor (30), Muar (30), Melaka Tengah (32), Timur Laut (27), Dungun (27), Besut (29), Hulu Selangor (27), Kulai (24), Kota Setar (24), Alor Gajah (25), Pekan (23) and Kuala Langat (22).

Meanwhile, 2 more buildings in Kuala Lumpur have just been placed under lockdown. Military officers were seen using barb wired fences to close off Flat Selangor Mansion and Flat Melayan at Jalan Masjid India this morning.

This rule was enforced after 15 coronavirus cases were detected from the building. The Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) will carry on until all residents (approximately 6000 staying in 365 residential and commercial units at both buildings) are screened.

Arahan keempat Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Diperketatkan (PKPD) dikenakan di Bangunan Selangor Mansion dan Malayan Mansion di Jalan Masjid India, KL.

Arahan ini dikeluarkan selepas 15 kes positif #COVID19 dikesan.

PKPD ini berkuatkuasa 7 April sehingga pengesanan tamat.

Menara City One, which was placed under lockdown last week after 17 people had contacted the disease, is only a 6-minute walk distance from the 2 buildings currently under EMCO.
