South Korean Park Narae (박나래) is one of the country’s most popular television personalities, appearing in top-rated shows like MBC’s “I Live Alone”. However, the star recently faced some shocking controversies, including allegations of illegal medical practice.
Recently, the comedian faced criticism over allegations of manager abuse by two former managers, leading to a lawsuit against her. The two unnamed individuals accuse Park Narae of workplace bullying, assault and non-payment of work-related expenses. According to the managers, the television personality would subject them to personal mistreatment and even forced one of them to drink against their will.

Shockingly, the two ex-managers also accused Park Narae of proxy medical prescriptions, claiming they had to handle the comedian’s personal medical tasks. In South Korea, medical appointments and prescription pickups need to be handled by patients themselves, or it is considered a violation of the Medical Service Act. Proxy pickup is allowed under limited circumstances, typically through immediate family members or caregivers.
Park Narae previously denied these claims and filed a countersuit against her former managers. However, following the accusations, Korean media outlet Dispatch shared alleged evidence of the comedian’s illegal use of medicine. The report claims that Park Narae sought medication from an unlicensed individual and was administered IV fluids in a regular home and in vans. There are also allegations that the individual obtained the medication illegally.

Following her recent controversies, Park Narae announced that she will temporarily suspend her broadcasting activities until she resolves the issues. However, she noted that she had met with her former managers to clear misunderstandings. The 40-year-old ended her post with an apology to the public for the recent issues. The production team for “I Live Alone” later confirmed that Park Narae won’t appear on their show until further notice.
Considering the seriousness of the allegations put against her, we hope Park Narae can resolve these issues. What are your thoughts on this?
