Influencer Coki Is One Of The First M’sian Teenagers To Get His Covid-19 Vaccine

Earlier this week, the government (through the Ministry of Health) officially launched the vaccination campaign for teenagers aged 12 to 17 years old in selected states, namely Sarawak, Labuan, Sabah, Kelantan, Kedah and also Johor.

Due to that, local influencer Coki took a bold step to be one of the earliest to receive the jab. As stated by the 16-year-old internet celeb himself, he was determined to take the vaccine since it’s a requirement to work in the entertainment scene.

“I did receive a few acting offers. God willing, after this, I will release an album. So I really need to get vaccinated to get my work going. After all, there is no problem for us to take the vaccine. When the government announced that citizens under 18 could get the vaccine, I immediately took the opportunity to become one of the first to receive the jab,” he told Harian Metro.

“I immediately registered through the MySejahtera app and received the appointment date a week after that,” Coki (real name Muhammad Danish Daniel Shamsaini) further added in the chat. He received his first dose vaccination at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar, Kedah.

So what’s next for Coki after this? The up-and-coming star revealed to the tabloid, “I’ll be busy with all the scheduled appointments which have been already compiled by my management under DJ Fuzz’s label. I already have 5 hip hop concept songs; a solo song, a duet with W.A.R.I.S, Floor 88 and a promotional song for a product.”

For the uninitiated, the Covid-19 Adolescent Immunisation Task Force (CITF-A) had previously targeted 60% of Malaysian teenagers to receive at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine by November this year. At the same time, the task force is also targeting full vaccination for 80% of the aforesaid population before school reopens in 2022.

As per The Star, walk-in vaccination for teenagers will officially begin tomorrow (Thursday, 23rd September) at 156 PPV (vaccine centres) that have been identified by the Health Ministry nationwide.
