Our feet are in their feels! Christian Louboutin has introduced the newest addition to its Nudes collection with the Cassia Lace Up, a ballet-inspired design that celebrates all skin tones.
This exclusive capsule continues the brand’s mission to make fashion more inclusive, proving that beauty comes in many shades. The Nudes line began with the idea of creating a shoe that blends naturally with the skin, but quickly evolved to reflect the diversity of women everywhere.
As Christian Louboutin once said, “Nude is not a beige colour, but a concept,” and that idea continues to shape the evolving Nudes collection. Since launching in 2013 with just five shades, the range has grown to eight, celebrating diversity and self-expression in every form.
This season, the spotlight is on the Cassia Lace Up, a 100 mm satin pump that blends the strength of ballet with the elegance of couture. With a square toe inspired by pointe slippers, a slender stiletto heel, and soft satin ribbons, it is made to move gracefully with every step.
Crafted from soft crepe satin, the design pays tribute to the ritual of a ballerina lacing her shoes before stepping onto the stage. Each pair is tied with tonal satin ribbons and designed to complement a specific skin tone. The result is a shoe that vanishes into the leg, letting the woman take the spotlight.
Cassia Lace Up is available in five nude shades, each chosen to match the softness and depth of real skin. The iconic red sole remains, offering a striking contrast that makes each step unforgettable.
More than a nod to ballet, Cassia Lace Up offers a quiet correction to a long-standing issue. For too long, pale pink slippers were the norm, ignoring the diversity of dancers around the world. This design reimagines ballet’s elegance with a modern, inclusive lens.
The limited-edition Nudes Capsule will be available in selected Christian Louboutin boutiques starting 9th July. Each pair is an invitation to move, to shine, and to be celebrated just as you are.
