Don’t worry if you can’t meet Benedict Cumberbatch in real life, because you should be able to meet up with his waxen doppelgänger at Madame Tussauds in London soon!
Best known for his role in BBC TV series “Sherlock”, British actor Benedict Cumberbatch, who has just turned 38 few days ago, has been honoured with a wax figure at the infamous wax museum, Madame Tussauds. He is also the latest celebrity to have a wax sculpture of himself made at Madame Tussauds alongside other iconic figures such as Steve Jobs, Armin Van Buuren, and Anna Frank.
Earlier this year, the actor caused a scene at 2014 Oscars when he photobombed Irish group U2 . Of course, it instantly became one of the most memorable Oscar moments. But now, the actor will finally get a taste of his own medicine! He even jokingly said, “Finally I can photobomb myself!”.
The actor then expressed his excitement and said, “What a weird and wonderful compliment to be included in the ranks of talent already committed to wax. I’ve been accused of being wooden in my work but never waxy!”
It is reported that his wax figure will be “premiere ready” with his signature red carpet style in a stylish dark suit, paired with a warm and relaxed expression as well as his famous tousled hairstyle.
We don’t know about you but perhaps his movie role as Khan in “Star Trek: Into Darkness” could be made into a wax sculpture as well. Or maybe, you know, Smaug the dragon? What do you think?
