It looks like another actor has joined his peers in leaving the entertainment industry and is now living life as a flight attendant for Malaysia Airlines (MAS). Watch:

Over the weekend, a MAS cabin crew posted a video on TikTok which showed actor Wan Ellyas Abdullah on duty, serving the passengers on a flight. “When your colleague is a celebrity so we had to multitask,” the employee captioned. It appears that many of the passengers recognised Wan Ellyas as he happily posed for a few photos with other cabin crew helping them to take the photos.
In the same video, the 42-year-old can be seen interacting with fans on the flight who mostly recognised him for his iconic role as Tajol in the “Dunia Baru” series which aired on TV3 from 2006 to 2008. The show was the reason the entertainer rose to stardom. After the TikTok post went viral, fans all flooded the comment section with many reminiscing the times they would watch him on TV. Some were also in disbelief, claiming that the celeb appeared to have barely aged over the years.
Previously, Ellyas took a break from acting in 2011 and made a comeback by starring in “Gamatisme” in 2015. During his hiatus, he worked as a flight attendant on MAS and since his comeback, he has mostly taken on supporting roles. At the time of writing, we have no information on whether the actor has officially left the entertainment industry for good this time.
However, he did post that he returned to working with MAS earlier in June and has not appeared in any film or TV project since 2022, with his last gig being the “Sekali Lagi Cinta Kembali” series which ended in October of that same year.
If he has retired from the acting industry, then we wish him nothing but the best in his new life.
