Tell me you’re rich without telling me you’re rich. This woman certainly managed to do so when she recently bought an expensive Louis Vuitton bag and paid for all of it in cash without even flinching.
A video of a Malaysian woman has recently been going viral after she was seen shopping for a branded bag. Not unusual, however, when she paid for her new purchase in RM50 notes, well, tongues started wagging!

Reportedly, the video was shared in a Facebook group named “Malaysia COVID-19 News”. Said video was allegedly recorded at a Louis Vuitton boutique showing a woman paying for her new Louis Vuitton Mini Soft Trunk worth RM44,500 with a stack of RM50 notes.
A clerk could be seen counting the stack of notes in the clip with a money counting machine. The woman was apparently standing at the counter, watching patiently watching him. Someone could be heard asking the woman: “Hope it’s enough. Is it enough?” to which she simply nodded confidently.
The camera also showed another clerk bundling up more bills in stacks with a rubber band. At the sight, the woman cheekily added: “Only one bill.” The video also revealed she had bought another branded bag from Dior, which was being carried by a man, allegedly a bodyguard or her driver.

The woman is reportedly known for her lavish and public spending, however, it seems netizens still felt the need to reprimand her. A few commented she should not flaunt such wealth. “Can’t (you) use debit card, QR pay (or) online transfer? Very dangerous…” one said. Another opined she should keep her wealth to herself.
A few others wondered about her reasoning for paying all in cash. “Need to show off?” one netizen asked scornfully. Several claimed it looked fishy, suspecting her cash was from ill gotten gains with some even saying she was “wash(ing) money (money laundering)“.

Well, this isn’t the first time someone has felt the need to flash their wealth in public. However, we have to admit that we don’t quite understand it. What do you guys think?
