Each member of a K-pop group is assigned to specific positions such as lead singer, lead rapper, main dancer and visual. Usually, one member would be assigned as the leader of the group – in charge of resolving conflict, looking after the members and conveying messages from and to the management.
Since the dawn of social media, fans have argued about which idol is considered the best leader of all time and thanks to the same survey that brought you the Most Handsome and Beautiful Faces In K-pop list, another survey was conducted to finally know who among hundreds of K-pop leaders took the number 1 spot. Since late April, fans worldwide have cast their votes for TOP 100 KPOP’s 100 Best K-pop Leaders survey and the results were finally announced yesterday (Sunday, 12th May). According to fans, the idol who deserved to be crowned as the best leader in the industry is none other than BTS’s RM (김남준)!
Many have previously praised the rapper for confronting problems and keeping his members in check whenever there’s internal conflict within BTS or their label. Despite being the 4th oldest member of the group, the “Dynamite” artist has proven himself to be an exceptional leader by prioritising his groupmates’ well-being and being a remarkable communicator, speaking eloquently during interviews (in both English and Korean).
