There is a rise in the number of K-pop celebrities enlisting, saddening some communities upon not seeing their beloved idols live for quite some time. Fortunately, a particular BTS (방탄소년단) member will be discharged soon, exciting fans and the entire band!
According to Korean media outlets, it is known that Jin (진) will be discharged from the military soon and even announced a celebration event with fans. In lieu of this, the BTS members will be having a celebration at a private location in Seoul.
It is claimed by the idol’s agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, that the official discharge ceremony will only be held among military personnel. The company also issued a statement in which fans are not allowed to gather at the base, especially with the possible presence of other members at the military base. However, such news about the members taking a leave to attend Jin’s discharge ceremony hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Initially, Jin enlisted in the military on 13th December 2022, being the first BTS member to do so since he is the oldest. Additionally, he served as an instructor at the 5th Division training centre and had to complete a total of 18 months of training. Thus, ever since then fans across all social platforms have been counting days to when he is finally back as they missed his presence.
In correlation to that, fans are anxiously waiting for the singer’s return for the upcoming ‘2024 FESTA’ leading to a number of fan projects waiting to greet Jin home. The excitement is understandable as his discharge will take place on BTS’ 11th debut anniversary, marking a special occasion among ARMYs.
