The year is already starting on a good note for ARMYs around the world as BTS (방탄소년단) confirms the date for their highly anticipated 2026 comeback! The global sensations will officially be back on 20th March 2026 (Friday).
On New Year’s Day (Thursday, 1st January 2026), BIGHIT MUSIC announced that BTS will return with a new album on 20th March. The new album marks the seven-member group’s first full-group album release in more than three years. BTS’s last group release was their anthology album, “Proof”, in June 2022.

Interestingly, BTS previously hinted at their comeback date through handwritten letters sent to Gold-membered ARMYs. In the letters, BTS shared their New Year’s wishes and expressed gratitude to the fans who have stood by them throughout the years. A mysterious logo and the date 20th March marked the letter, which many fans figured was a teaser.
Along with the comeback date announcement, BIGHIT MUSIC also confirmed that BTS will embark on a large-scale world tour in 2026. The tour will take place after the release of their new album. The agency will share more details about the release and tour at a later date through the group’s official channels.

Meanwhile, BTS recently held a full-group live broadcast through Weverse on 31st December 2025 (Wednesday), ringing in the new year with fans. In the livestream, the members shared their hopes for 2026, saying, “We hope to make a safe comeback this year and that the new album does well. Let’s make BTS a huge success!”
With a confirmed comeback date, we’re sure ARMYs around the world are already starting the countdown. There’s also hope that BTS’s new tour will include more stops globally. Are you excited for BTS’s return?
