Many stars have displayed erratic behaviour on social media, but rarely does it result in their social media channels getting deleted. After defending herself against claims made by her ex-husband, Britney Spears seemingly deleted her Instagram account, drawing waves of concern from fans.
On 3rd November 2025 (Monday), fans noticed that Britney’s Instagram account, with the handle @/britneyspears, had been deleted. The account now directs to an error page that reads, “Profile isn’t available. The link may be broken, or the profile may have been removed.” However, it’s unclear whether Britney herself had deleted the account or if it was removed by Meta, which owns the social media platform.

It’s worth noting that Britney uses her Instagram as a primary method to connect with fans and communicate with the public. Just days before the account went missing, the pop icon spoke up about the allegations put forward by ex-husband Kevin Federline in his recently released memoir, “You Thought You Knew”. The book included several damning allegations against Britney, including her allegedly harming her children.
In her post, which was cross-shared on Twitter, the mother-of-two defended herself against the claims, saying, “The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting. I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys. Sadly, they have always witnessed the lack of respect shown by (their) own father for me.” Britney also called out Kevin for profiting from her vulnerability.

There were other postings on Britney’s now-deleted Instagram account that concerned her fans and followers. In one post from 7th October, fans noticed bruises on the star’s arms and bandages on her hands and wrists. Britney would clarify that she sustained the injuries from falling down the stairs at a friend’s house. However, that didn’t stop fans from expressing worry about the singer’s mental and physical health.
This isn’t the first time Britney has shut down her Instagram account, so only time will tell if she’ll get it back up. Regardless of whether the account gets revived, we hope that the pop icon is doing well.
