Ever since BLACKPINK (블랙핑크)’s Lisa (리사) teased her new collaboration with rapper Doja Cat and British singer Raye, fans have been overly excited to hear the new track. “BORN AGAIN” serves as the fourth single from the idol’s upcoming solo album “Alter Ego”, which is scheduled for release later this month.
The music video was released earlier today (Friday, 7th February) and has already surpassed 1 million views on YouTube within the first two hours! Here are some fun facts you should know about the newly released track and music video:
1. The song was featured in “White Lotus” trailer
As many of you know, Lisa will be starring in the latest season of “White Lotus”. When the latest trailer was released on Instagram on 5th February, a snippet of “BORN AGAIN” played throughout the entire video. This led fans to believe that the single will be featured in one of the episodes, or at least in the official soundtrack, but so far, nothing has been confirmed.
2. It is Lisa’s longest solo track so far

Prior to “BORN AGAIN”, every single release, including “MONEY”, has been under 3 minutes. The new song is 3 minutes and 51 seconds long, making it the idol’s longest solo track after “LALISA”, which was 3 minutes and 21 seconds.
3. Raye is one of the song’s producers

Not only was she a featured artist, but Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Raye is also credited as one of the producers for “BORN AGAIN”.
4. The music video was directed by Bardia Zeinali

If you’re not familiar with Bardia Zeinali, then perhaps you’ll be familiar with his work. The director of Lisa’s “BORN AGAIN” is also the mastermind behind many artists’ music videos, including Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please”, Troye Sivan’s “Bloom”, and Tate McRae’s “Sports Car”. He has also worked on numerous video projects with Vogue magazine.
5. The music video tells a story of a breakup

The lyrics highlight what the ex is missing out on after breaking his lover’s heart. The video portrays the breakup journey, breaking it down into five parts. Lisa, Doja Cat, and Raye’s black outfits from the first part (which resemble mourning attire) transform into white and silver, goddess-esque looks by the finale, symbolising empowerment.
6. Outfits in the video designed by Luis De Javier

After the music video was released, fans recognised some of the pieces worn by the artists. Both Lisa and Doja Cat were seen wearing dresses from the Luis De Javier Spring 2025 Ready-to-Wear Collection.
