Hollywood’s golden couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are no strangers to trolling each other on social media.
The 30-year-old actress recently took to Instagram to announce that may have found a loophole in her cheating strategy. Who’s the person in question? It’s none other than her “A Simple Favor” co-star Anna Kendrick.
It all started when the “Gossip Girl” alum shared 2 new movie posters from her thriller “A Simple Favor”. “@Annakendrick47 is the hotter, female(r) version of my husband… so, would it reaaaally count as cheating??” she mused.
The “Pitch Perfect” star replied, “So glad we’re finally taking this public. I let Ryan have Deadpool, he can give me this.” Lively’s husband, of course, chimed in. “The most ambitious crossover event in history. I’ll miss you both. Tell my story.”
Kendrick previously said that she was worried about her onscreen chemistry with Lively’s character. “On paper there were moments where I was like, ‘Is the audience going to believe that the two of us become friends?’ because we’re so different and just because you write it down doesn’t mean that the audience is going to buy it,” she told E! News.
Although Kendrick and Lively’s characters (Stephanie and Emily, respectively) don’t get along in “A Simple Favor”, Kendrick had nothing but nice things to say about Mrs Reynolds. “The second that we started saying it out loud, I was like, ‘This is going to work’. She’s so warm. Even when she’s being kind of cruel to my character, there’s something still really alluring about her,” the A-lister shared.
Now we’re excited to see how this relationship will blossom in front of the public eye.
