BLACKPINK’s Jennie (블랙핑크 제니) continues to show just how “young and rich” she truly is. According to reports, the idol recently purchased a building in Seoul worth billions of won and paid for it entirely in cash.
On 11th February 2026 (Wednesday), reports emerged that Jennie had bought a building in the Yongsan district of Seoul for KRW20 billion (approximately RM54.06 million). According to sources, the singer purchased the property in May 2025 and completed the transfer of ownership in December 2026.

However, the real estate registry showed no mortgage attached to the property, indicating that Jennie made the purchase entirely in cash. This new property marks another one of the singer’s real estate investments. Besides leasing a building in Hannam-dong for her agency Odd Atelier, Jennie also purchased a luxury villa for KRW5 billion (approximately RM13 million) in 2023.
According to reports, the building is located in the northern part of Dongbinggo-dong, an area with many ambassadorial residences. The property itself previously served as the Embassy of Iraq. The land area measures 595 square meters, and the total floor area measures 551.08 square meters. The building has one basement level and two above-ground floors.

It’s unclear if Jennie plans to use the property for personal or business purposes, or purchased it as an investment. It’s worth noting that Dongbinggo-dong is currently undergoing a full-scale development, coinciding with the redevelopment of the nearby Hannam New Town and the creation of Yongsan Park.
Regardless, the news of Jennie purchasing the property in cash already had netizens in awe of her “young and rich” status. Many also wonder if she’ll continue making bold investments in the future.
