Global star Beyoncé has recently reached another milestone in her career, just as the new year approaches. According to Forbes, the singer is now a billionaire – and only the fifth musician to become so.
On 29th December 2025 (Monday), Forbes magazine confirmed that Beyoncé has achieved billionaire status. The star follows in the footsteps of her fellow musicians, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen and her husband, Jay-Z. She’s also one of the 22 billionaire entertainers that Forbes has identified over the years.

Forbes credits many of Beyoncé’s musical and business ventures as the key to her latest elite status, including a pivot to country music, a Christmas NFL halftime show and her now-iconic Levi’s commercials. However, it was her “Cowboy Carter” tour that dramatically boosted her net worth from US$800 million (approximately RM3.2 billion) just two years earlier.
According to reports, the “Cowboy Carter” tour grossed more than US$400 million (approximately RM1.6 billion) in ticket sales. It also sold US$50 million (approximately RM200 million) in merchandise. Since Beyoncé’s company, Parkwood Entertainment, produced the goods, she was also able to secure higher profit margins.

Beyoncé also had a lucrative 2025 with her haircare brand, Cécred, and whisky line, SirDavis Whisky, named after her great-grandfather, Davis Hogue. However, Forbes emphasises that most of her personal wealth comes from her music, like controlling the rights to her enormous catalogue and earning from her global tours.
Despite her new billionaire status, Beyoncé previously said her focus is on protecting herself and her family, ensuring that she doesn’t turn her personal life into a brand. The star even said, “No amount of money is worth my peace.”
