Not to mention, the unpredictable weather tends to affect the flow of traffic as well. Being stuck in traffic is the bane of everyone’s life as there’s no understanding of whether the congestion will be a short or long waiting time.
The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) bestowed a ‘cheat code’ on us to beat the traffic for work, and holiday purposes with real-time updates of all existing highways within Klang Valley. Here’s how you can beat the traffic with the resources provided by them:
The official portal of the Malaysian Highway Authority allows you to get updates on the highway that you will be using for your commute or holiday trip. It is fairly easy to access the highway updates on the site as all you need to do is visit the site, locate the ‘Status Trafik Semasa’ column and select which highway (E1: NKVE Highway to E38: SMART Tunnel) update you wish to acquire.
Other than checking on the highway updates, the portal also offers a toll calculator for you to be extra prepared with a sufficient amount of balance on your Touch n’ Go card for your daily commute. It’s also fairly easy to use as the calculator is right next to the highway update column, and the toll calculator has all the toll booths that are located in the Klang Valley and have information on the rate of each vehicle eligible to pay for the toll fee.
Beating the traffic and being prepared for tolls has just gotten better. The resources available on the official Malaysian Highway Authority portal are accessible to anyone. You can now cut your traffic waiting time with the highway cam updates by choosing the least congested highway that would be best for your commute.
