Cue the wedding bells, 2 beloved DC characters are getting ready to tie the knot.
It’s been confirmed that Barry Allen (played by Grant Gustin) and Iris West (played by Grant Gustin) are getting married in “The Flash” season 4. Looks like the Fastest Man Alive won’t have to wait long to make good on his proposal.
It’s no secret that Barry will return from being trapped in the Speed Force. However, the speedster will be a changed man when he re-emerges. In speaking with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said, “They are finally going to get married this season and then it’s going to be: Can they stay married with everything that’s coming up against them?”
That being said, Barry and Iris’ marriage isn’t going to be smooth sailing. It’s a superhero show after all, so expect plenty of trials, tribulations, and handwringing. “There’s a lot that Iris experienced that Barry didn’t when he was gone, and it’s really (about) the fun and the emotional component of making up that time when they weren’t together,” executive producer Todd Helbing added.
“The Flash” season 4 premieres 10th October on The CW.
