Avril Lavigne is getting to ready to give fans the “best damn thing” next year.
The 32-year-old took to Instagram earlier this week to announce that she has been putting the final touches on her upcoming album, which she plans to release in 2017. Lavigne’s new record, her 6th to be exact, will be her first full-length album since her last self-titled album in 2013.
It has been awhile since the Canadian singer stepped out of the limelight to focus her attention on her health ever since she battled Lyme Disease. “Hi Everyone!! I wanted to first thank my fans for your patience & support during my time away throughout my battle with Lyme Disease over the past 2 years. It hasn’t just been a hard battle but it’s also been enlightening and will reflect in my new music, artistry, life, and personally,” she wrote.
2017 is looking promising as the pop-rocker is set to resume her musical career. “I’m really happy to announce that I am now working on new music and I will be releasing a new album in 2017. I can’t wait to open up and share my heart with you! I’m excited for you guys to hear the new songs. It’s going to be an amazing 2017!” Lavigne added.
If there’s anyone who deserves an “amazing” year, it’s Lavigne. It has been too long and we can’t wait to hear some new songs from our favourite pop-rock queen 😉
