With every passing moment, we are inching closer to Marvel’s massive 2026 slate, led by two of its most anticipated releases yet: “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”
Over the past few months, fragments of information have surfaced from insiders and leakers. Hints here, teases there, but a lot of it remained as rumours in the wind. Until now.
Within the span of a single day, two major Marvel projects suddenly snapped into focus, and the internet has been buzzing.
A few days ago, The Hollywood Reporter revealed in one of its newsletters that “Avengers: Doomsday” is set to receive four separate trailers during the theatrical run of “Avatar: Fire and Ash.” Shortly after, several prominent Marvel insiders began teasing details about what each trailer would contain, adding fuel to an already blazing fire.
Things escalated rapidly when grainy footage, claiming to be trailers for both “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” leaked online.
Fake Marvel trailers are nothing new. YouTube has been flooded with convincing-looking edits ever since both titles were announced. The biggest giveaway has always been the lack of response from the studios themselves. This time, however, it was different.

When a video claiming to be the first “Doomsday” trailer began circulating, Disney issued DMCA takedowns almost immediately. That alone raised eyebrows. Soon after, footage alleged to be from Tom Holland’s next “Spider-Man” film surfaced, and those uploads were also hit with copyright strikes.
That response suggests these clips may be far more legitimate than your average AI mashup.
So, we are breaking them down right here. If you have made it this far and genuinely want to avoid spoilers, this is your chance to click away.
Here is your final warning. Still here? Let’s swing away!

First “Avengers: Doomsday” Trailer
The first leaked “Doomsday” trailer opens quietly, with the Avengers theme playing softly in the background. A man in a jacket rides a motorcycle through a rural landscape before stopping at a white farmhouse. He removes his helmet, walks up the steps, and enters the house.
We see him holding a star-spangled suit pulled from a suitcase. Could it be?
Inside, the figure picks up a baby, presumably his own. The camera tilts up.
It IS Chris Evans as Steve Rogers. Everyone, sound the alarm!

The Star-Spangled Man With A Plan is back!
The trailer ends moments later with a simple title card: “Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Doomsday,” followed by a countdown.
As shocking as this reveal is, it is not entirely unexpected. A report from Deadline last December already suggested Steve Rogers would return in Avengers 4, and Evans’ noticeably bulked-up appearance during “The Materialists” press tour only added to the speculation. In hindsight, the clues were all there.
That said, Steve’s apparent prominence raises immediate questions. The Russos seem to be picking up the version of Steve who returned the Infinity Stones and lived out his life with Peggy. But is he truly a central character in this film? And if so, does he re-enter the main MCU timeline or just stay in that universe where he’s happy?

It creates significant narrative complications, especially considering how “Endgame” concluded, and how Sam Wilson’s journey ended with his meeting Old Man Steve. It would not make sense for Sam, or the rest of the Avengers, to encounter Steve again before that moment.
How this plays out remains one of “Doomsday’s” biggest mysteries.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” Leaked Trailer
The “Spider-Man” footage is far less complete, but fans have managed to reconstruct much of the audio. Multiple transcriptions are circulating, and what follows is the most consistent version compiled from various sources.

Peter Parker:
“Hi. My name is Peter Parker. You don’t remember me, but we knew each other. Something bad was going to happen, and the only way to stop it was to make everyone forget about me. I’m not just Peter Parker. I’m Spider Man. And sometimes Spider Man has to do the hard part, even if it breaks Peter Parker’s heart.”Sadie Sink’s character:
“You’re a mess, Spider Man. Don’t get in my way. Otherwise, it won’t just be your friends who don’t remember who Peter Parker is.”Tombstone:
“Spiders have three life cycles. And between cycles, it can leave the spider vulnerable to threats. Those spiders that survive go through a kind of rebirth”Peter Parker:
“Professor Banner, I need your help.”Bruce Banner:
“You’re not one of my students, are you?”Peter Parker:
“Wait, what are you doing here?!”The Punisher:
“Saving your ass. Can’t you see?!”
The footage is blurry, but some netizens have pointed out the Spider-Man villains, Boomerang and Tarantula, along with an army of The Hand, battling the Wall-Crawler. The Hand is notable for having ties to Daredevil and Elektra. So, it’s possible we could see more threads to the TV side of things come into play – besides the very obvious Punisher appearance.
There is also a pre-vis shot of Tom Holland’s character doing the iconic pose from Amazing Fantasy #15, which is notable for being Spider-Man’s first appearance in the comics.
The biggest question mark here is Sadie Sink’s role. Her dialogue positions her as an antagonist, or at least someone directly opposing Peter, which complicates nearly every popular theory surrounding her casting. The most pressing question is simple: how does she know who Peter Parker is?
Speculation has ranged wildly, from Mary Jane Watson in her classic form, to Gwen Stacy, Felicia Hardy, Rachel Cole-Alves, Firestar, Jean Grey, Mayday Parker, or even Jessica Drew.

What makes this especially intriguing is the reported scale of her involvement. Supposedly, Sink’s character is important enough to carry forward into “Secret Wars” and beyond. That has long pointed fans toward a Jean Grey or X-Men connection. Seeing that character confront Spider-Man in this way would be unexpected, but not impossible, especially considering Jean’s telepathic abilities.
For now, it remains one of the biggest enigmas surrounding “Brand New Day.”
Second “Avengers: Doomsday” Trailer
While the second trailer has not surfaced visually, audio has been circulating online, and it appears to focus entirely on Thor.

The scene reportedly shows Thor alone in a forest, praying to Odin as a sombre Avengers motif plays. The alleged dialogue is as follows:
“I’ve bled for crowns, for realms, for pride. I ask for none of that now. Father, hear your son. I am not worthy of life, but still, I beg you to let the thread lengthen. Not for thunder, not for war. Let me remain long enough to see my Love once more.”
According to the leaks, Thor learns of the impending incursion from his daughter, Love (from the ending of “Thor: Love and Thunder”). He leaves her in New Asgard under Valkyrie’s care before rejoining the Avengers.

Third and Fourth “Doomsday” Trailers
Not all details have leaked, thankfully, but there are some vague notes for the remaining two trailers.
The third trailer is reportedly centred on Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom himself, with his motivations tied to the death of his wife and child. Interestingly, both Thor and Steve Rogers are shown to have children in the other trailers. This suggests that parenthood and legacy may be a central emotional thread connecting the film’s key characters.
The fourth trailer is expected to be the full ensemble showcase, the traditional blockbuster trailer that will eventually receive an official online release.
As we said, all four “Avengers: Doomsday” trailers are tied to the theatrical run of “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” which opens this week.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” and “Avengers: Doomsday” are clearly positioned as foundational pillars of the MCU’s future. If these leaks are any indication, we’re about to be in for one heck of a ride. Indeed, 2026 cannot come fast enough.
