5 Asian Restaurants To Dine In At Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

by Justin

Who’s up for some restaurant hopping? If you’re up for some delicious Asian cuisines, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is your one-stop destination for all things yummy.

Instead of searching high and low for good places to eat, we’ve curated a list of Asian restaurants – all of which are located on level 1. These non-halal/pork-free eateries are a mixture of first-in-Malaysia and well-known favourites.

1. HK Boy Cart Noodle

Pavilion

  • Non-halal
  • Originated from Hong Kong

Bringing some nostalgia to city dwellers is Hong Kong’s famous cart noodles. What’s unique about this concept is being able to DIY your own cart noodle by customising the broth, sauces, toppings, and choice of noodles. Signature dishes here include La Za Noodle, tasty curry fish balls, Swiss chicken chop rice with fried egg and lemongrass pork chop noodles.

2. Tan Tan Noodles Kitchen

  • Non-halal
  • Originated from South Korea

Tan Tan Noodles Kitchen made its Malaysian debut in Pavilion KL earlier this year. As the epitome of Korean culture, the restaurant uses unique-shaped bowls to make the dishes warm. We simply can’t get enough of its flavourful pork bone broth (boiled for 6 hours) mixed with bouncy ramen, spring onion, pan-fried minced pork, mushroom and lava egg.

*Update: Unfortunately, Tan Tan Noodles Kitchen closed down during MCO.

3. Gami Chicken

Pavilion

  • Pork-free
  • From Melbourne, Australia

Coming all the way from Melbourne, Gami Chicken is famous for its Korean fried chicken, coated in sticky gooey sauce of your choice (spicy, sweet chili and soy garlic). This hot favourite is also served with a side of green salad and tangy pickled radish for a nice balance. Other highlights include gooey corn cheese, kimchi pancake, potato heaven, and kimchi fried rice.

4. Teppanyaki

Pavilion

  • Pork-free

Famous for the table kitchen concept, Teppanyaki Malaysia has been around since 1984. The brand’s Japanese teppanyaki grills has a selection of chicken, beef, prawn, salmon and cuttlefish. To balance off the charred-toasty flavours, we’d recommend their cendol shaved ice dessert.

5. Go Noodle House

  • Non-halal

Go Noodle House needs no introduction. Mention the restaurant name anywhere and immediately bursting meatballs come to mind. In addition, frequent customers can never get enough of the flavourful broth, splashed with a generous amount of Shao Xing Hua Diao Jiu (Yellow Rice Wine) for a refreshing umami touch.
