It’s that time of year again! Whether you are an Apple enthusiast or not, it is hard to deny the tech giant’s impressive ability to release a new line of products annually. It has been a full year since the launch of the iPhone 16 series, and while some argued that the devices were not particularly groundbreaking, they did introduce a number of significant upgrades designed to improve the user experience.
Last night (Tuesday, 9th September), at around 2am Malaysian time, the company unveiled its latest range of smart devices, with the iPhone 17 series taking centre stage. Here is a first look at the new smartphones, along with the other devices revealed:

According to the official Apple website, the new iPhone 17 and 17 Pro models will be available for pre-order starting 12th September, with stocks available on 19th September. We don’t doubt that many of you would want to know more about the specs, features, and iOS updates, but for this article, we’re just going to focus on the most important part of the announcement: the pricing. Here are all the official prices according to the website:
iPhone 17:

6.1″ iPhone 17
- 256GB – RM 3,999
- 512GB – RM 4,999
iPhone 17 Pro & iPhone 17 Pro Max:

6.3″ iPhone 17 Pro
- 256GB – RM 5,499
- 512GB – RM 6,499
- 1TB – RM 7,499
6.9″ iPhone 17 Pro Max
- 256GB – RM 5,499
- 512GB – RM 6,499
- 1TB – RM 7,499
- 2TB – RM 9,999
As seen in the photos above, the iPhone 17 will be available in 5 new colours: Lavender, Sage, Mist Blue, White and Black, whereas the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will be available in 3 colours: Silver, Cosmic Orange, and Deep Blue. Other than the new iPhone 17 models, Apple also unveiled the new iPhone Air, which is described as the thinnest iPhone ever.

Other smart devices introduced during the livestream include the Apple Watch variants: Series 11 and SE3, as well as the all-new AirPods Pro 3.
